Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to deliver my rug?

Most of our rugs are shipped within 2 to 3 business days and take approximately two to three weeks to deliver depending on your geographical location.

What are your shipping charges?

Free shipping applies to every rug we sell, anywhere within the continental United States and Canada.

Can I combine items for lower shipping costs to other countries?

We are unable to combine orders for shipping. All of our rugs are individually prewrapped and ready for shipment soon after the imaging process. It would be costly, time consuming, and inconvenient if we were to unwrap and then rewrap the rugs in order to create larger packages. It would slow down the shipping process and leave room for errors. Our shipping costs cover handling, packaging, shipping, insurance (and customs clearance, when applicable).

Which method of payment do you accept?

Your order is processed securely through Paypal. You do no need to have a Paypal account. Paypal accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diner’s Club and e-check. You may also pay with check or money order. Please note that payment by cheque will have a 7-10 clearing period.

Can I make a payment over the phone?

Yes, you can contact us at 1-604-986-0909 for credit card payment. For payment by cheque please send to:

What are the materials used for your rugs?

Most of our rugs have 100% sheep wool pile with either a cotton or sheep wool foundation. In some of the finer pieces, a wool pile with silk highlights on a cotton or silk foundation will be used. In truly fine pieces, pure silk both for the pile and the foundation will be used. The material for each rug is clearly displayed in the description.

What does the term “Cork Wool” mean?

Cork is a city of Ireland. They produce very fine wool. Iran imports this wool to weave the fine rugs.

Are your hand-woven rugs perfectly symmetrical?

Minor differences in the detail of the pattern may occur. This does not in any way reflect any imperfection in the quality of the rug. This situation will occur more with tribal pieces than with rugs woven by city weavers. The looms used in the villages and rural areas are mostly wooden looms, this can make some deform but this due to their nomadic way of life. Metal looms which is used by city weavers and workshops allow perfectly symmetrical rugs. If you enjoy oriental rugs you will love the shape and the romantic appeal associated with them.

Do your images reflect the true colors of your rugs?

We work hard to visually represent our rugs in their truest form. Our lighting is professionally set up to represent bright daylight. Our close-up images are the best way to judge the actual colors of each rug.
